Reimagining your sentimental heirloom jewellery
Have you ever thought about turning your unworn solid gold sentimental heirloom jewellery into a new piece of jewellery you can wear everyday without melting it down?
It's probably true to say we all have a solid gold ring that is sat in a dusty box because it's the wrong size or style or simply not practical for everyday wear. Melting the ring down to make something new is always an option but also the most drastic one!
Jane came to me with the dilemma of desperately wanting to wear her mom's ring but it just wasn't the right size. It seemed a shame to melt down such a beautiful and special ring so together we designed an everyday chain necklace in silver. The new necklace perfectly showcases the beautiful precious solid gold and diamond ring without the need to alter it in anyway.

"I contacted Sian having seen her jewellery on Etsy and liked both her designs, but also her ethos of using recycled materials.
I was very keen to be able to wear an eternity ring which belonged to my Mom who had recently passed away. The ring itself was quite small and I couldn’t comfortably wear it as a ring, so I was looking for an alternative when I noticed that Sian’s website mentioned creating bespoke pieces.
I began emailing Sian and got a really kind and positive response from her and we agreed to meet at her workshop to discuss options for transforming the ring into a wearable piece.
It was an incredibly simple and straightforward process to discuss what I thought I would like, what recommendations Sian could make and how to take this forward.
It was an incredibly emotional time for me, and I really appreciated the fact that Sian was so kind, patient, understanding and helpful. The ring has massive sentimental value and is a simple but beautiful piece of jewellery which deserved a new lease of life.
Sian transformed it into a necklace which I am absolutely delighted with and feel very honoured to wear.
It is a timeless piece of jewellery which I am incredibly happy with and very grateful to Sian for creating."
It was a joy to create this necklace for Jane! For bespoke jewellery like Jane's please get in touch!
