Rooted in Gold: Handmade Tree-Bark Rings from Recycled Gold in Worcestershire
In a quiet corner of Worcestershire, I make simple solid gold rings—using recycled gold, a hammer, and a deep love for natural textures. My rings are inspired by tree bark and finished with meaning—each one holds a story.

If you’re looking for jewellery that connects you to nature, carries a little soul, and leaves a lighter footprint on the planet, welcome. This is where sustainability meets sentiment.
Why Recycled Gold?
Gold is endlessly recyclable. I often melt gold down, reform it, and give it new life—without the ethical concerns or environmental impact of newly mined gold. I also use recycled gold from reliable and trustworthy sources.
There’s something powerful about knowing your ring was once part of something else. Maybe it held someone’s memories. Now it holds yours.
I work mostly with 9ct or 18ct gold in yellow, white, and rose—each piece hallmarked in the UK (if heavy enough!) for quality assurance according to the hallmarking rules.
Inspired by Tree Bark, Crafted by Hand
I’ve spent a lot of time walking in the woods around my home and Britain. The texture of old bark, the soft dents of ancient branches—they all inspire my signature style. I recreate those rugged patterns through careful hammering, leaving behind a tactile texture that’s entirely unique.
No two rings are the same. That’s the beauty of hand-making each one. I don’t look for perfection—I just look for authenticity. Slight variations, subtle marks, and organic edges are all part of what makes a piece special.
Texture isn’t just beautiful—it also strengthens the metal through a process called work-hardening. So your ring will stand the test of time, both in structure and sentiment.
Jewellery That Holds Your Story
So many of my clients come to me with meaningful ideas:
• A ring in memory of a loved one
• A wedding band made from old family gold
• A piece that marks a personal milestone
I love helping bring those stories to life. Whether it’s incorporating gold you already own, creating a custom bark texture, or using a subtle engraving that means something only to you—these rings become more than jewellery. They become memory keepers.
If you have an idea, even if it feels small or abstract, I’d love to hear it.
