Each heart 10mm diameter approximately, these hearts are made individually so I will try my best to make them as the photo but the beauty of making things by hand means I can’t guarantee it!
* FREE POSTAGE TO THE UK* All measurements are approximate. Every pair of earrings and cufflinks are individually made so are not identical or a duplicate but are complimentary partners. Every piece is made by hand and so will feature ‘imperfections’ that are a sign they have been hand crafted and truly unique. All of my jewellery makes an ideal gift and is lovingly wrapped in a box or gift bag ready for the recipient. The gift wrapping in the photo is representative of how your jewellery will be presented. I only ever purchase small amounts of packing material so time to time it may change according to what is available. I’m not an advocate of unnecessary packaging so try to use recyclable materials as much as possible.

When it comes to choosing the perfect piece of jewellery, it’s great to consider something that is not only beautiful but also sustainable. One option is by choosing jewellery that has been made from solid recycled gold or sterling silver. Not only does recycled gold and sterling silver reduce the environmental impact of mining, but it also helps to preserve our natural resources, it is just as high quality as newly mined gold and silver.
Recycled gold and sterling silver is an environmentally friendly and socially responsible alternative to mined gold and silver. I purchase my gold and sterling silver from a company that has made the gold or sterling silver into sheet and wire by melting down and purifying existing gold and sterling silver jewellery, coins, and other items. This process conserves natural resources and reduces the negative impacts of gold and silver mining, such as deforestation, habitat destruction, and pollution.
Recycled gold and sterling silver is an excellent choice for those looking to make a more sustainable and socially responsible purchase. It conserves natural resources, has a smaller carbon footprint, supports fair labour practices and is cost-effective. By opting to buy solid gold and sterling silver jewellery made from recycled gold and sterling silver you are making a positive impact on the environment and society.
When choosing your new piece of solid gold or sterling silver jewellery made by hand by me you’ll know that you're making a responsible choice.
Heart jewellery
Jewellery has been a medium for expressing emotions, sentiments, and personal connections throughout human history. Among the myriad symbols used in jewellery design, the heart stands out as an enduring and universally recognized motif. From ancient civilizations to modern-day romantics, the heart symbol has held a special place in the world of adornment, representing love, passion, and the enduring bond between individuals.
The heart symbol's association with love and emotion dates back to ancient times. In ancient cultures such as the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, the heart was considered the centre of human emotion and the seat of the soul. Over the centuries, this symbolic significance evolved, and by the Middle Ages, the heart became a universal emblem of love, devotion, and romantic affection.
One of the reasons behind the widespread use of the heart symbol in jewellery is its inherent simplicity and versatility. The symmetrical and easily recognisable shape of a heart lends itself well to various design interpretations. Jewellers can craft intricate pieces or minimalist designs, catering to a broad spectrum of preferences and styles. Whether it's a delicate heart-shaped pendant or an elaborate heart-themed bracelet, the versatility of the symbol allows for a myriad of expressions.
The heart symbol's enduring popularity can also be attributed to its timeless association with matters of the heart. Love, being a fundamental aspect of the human experience, is a theme that transcends cultural and temporal boundaries. The heart symbol, therefore, becomes a powerful and universally understood language, allowing wearers to communicate sentiments without uttering a single word. Whether given as a gift or worn as a personal statement, heart-shaped jewellery carries a profound message of love and connection.
In addition to romantic love, the heart symbol is often used to express broader concepts of compassion, friendship, and empathy. This versatility allows individuals to choose heart-themed jewellery for a variety of occasions, from celebrating a romantic relationship to honouring the bonds of friendship or family ties. The heart becomes a canvas upon which wearers can paint the rich tapestry of their emotions and relationships.
Moreover, the enduring appeal of heart-shaped jewellery lies in its ability to evoke nostalgia and sentimentality. Many people associate heart symbols with cherished memories, significant life events, or tokens of affection exchanged with loved ones. As a result, heart-shaped jewellery becomes more than a mere accessory; it becomes a tangible reminder of moments and connections that hold deep emotional value.
In conclusion, the heart symbol's ubiquitous presence in jewellery is a testament to its timeless appeal and enduring relevance. Whether crafted in precious metals, adorned with gemstones, or designed in simple elegance, the heart remains a universal language of love and emotion. As we continue to seek meaningful ways to express our feelings and celebrate connections, the heart symbol will undoubtedly continue to hold its cherished place in the world of jewellery, telling stories of love, passion, and enduring connections for generations to come.
